October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month.  Chiropractic Care Can Be Part Of The Solution.

According to the National Safety Council, Americans are more likely to die from an opioid overdose than a car crash.  The National Safety Council report released earlier this year, found that the probability of dying from an opioid overdose in the U.S. is 1 in 96.

Since October is National Substance Abuse Prevention Month, we thought it was a good time to address this crisis.

Americans are more likely to die from opioid overdoses than a car crash.

Drugs are not the answer; drugs only mask your problem.  They reduce your pain and can cause you to become reliant on them, physically at first and then mentally.  Even though the pain is masked, your condition continues to worsen.  Whether they work for pain relief or not, drugs will interfere with your body’s natural ability to heal.

Anytime we hear in the news of an opioid overdose, we are saddened.  Yet as tragic as these overdoses are, we think they are preventable.  Since more than half of opioid users report having had back pain, chiropractic care can be part of the solution to this national epidemic.

Chiropractic care has proven to be a highly-effective, drug-free pain treatment option for back pain.

Why?

Because chiropractic care address what causes a patients’ pain, rather than masking symptoms with a prescription. As musculoskeletal experts, we look at the body as a whole then identify the root of the problem. Invariably we find that there is a structural or functional component that is preventing you from healing.  Pain typically comes from our body’s failure to adapt to the stresses and strains on our body.  We will create a treatment plan to help you feel less pain and move toward better health.

We would love the opportunity to show you how chiropractic care can help you get to the root of your pain and help get you some relief without drugs.  Give us a call; we’d love to help you reach for better health, naturally!
